Cost

As Part of our arrangement with First Baptist Church, we are offering this program primarily as a ministry and not as a business. Therefore, we do not charge monthly membership fees. There are certain fees required to cover the costs of the class.

Generally they are:

Other fees include:
Class T-shirt (May be worn instead of formal top) $20
Mouthpiece (You may also purchase locally) $3
Rank Test Fee (Senior White through Senior Yellow) $25
Rank Test Fee (Gold and Green) $45
Rank Test Fee (Blue and Purple) $50
Rank Test Fee (Brown Belt) $60
Rank Test Fee (Red Belt) $70
Sparring Equipment (May be deferred for some time) $150-$200

Sparring Equipment: The class owns several sets of sparring equipment that students can use.  Once you determine your student’s level of interest, then you can begin purchasing sparring equipment for them.  We suggest Christmas and birthdays are excellent times to buy equipment – or perhaps as an incentive to work toward a particular belt.

Scholarships: Because we do not want anyone to miss training because of a financial hardship – we offer scholarships to offset the expenses mentioned above.  If a family has a financial need, they can speak to one of the black belts or complete a request for scholarship and we will determine how best to assist.  All scholarship requests are kept in confidence.  On the other hand, if your family wants to help support the program, you can offer to provide a scholarship for another student.
